Dream I Die is a solo metal music project based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Beginning in 2025 with the release of the first EP 'Dystopia' it's been difficult to nail down an overall sound I want to move towards that encapsulates the idea of Dream I Die. The EP was a mixture of experimental tracks that was glued together by the overall lyrical theme of a dystopian future, or what I think is the present day.

Following the EP release was a single titled "Is This What You Want" which also fits the dystopian vibe, but was more lyrically inline with asking why this is happening to higher powers. This was yet another track that explored the combination of modern metal sounds using drop tuned guitars and synths to elevate the overall production.

The final single released was a short song titled "Nothing's Working". The emphasis of the song is based on how it can be difficult to translate what I'm thinking to a track. I kept it short because, in essence, it's a simple emotion that frustrates me from time to time that passes pretty quickly.

Moving into 2026 I have been heavily writing to bring forth my first album which I'm aiming to release mid-year. The overall sound is more finely tuned and will be more in line with songs like "Never Good Enough" and "Numb". This is going back to simplifying the production and enhancing the core instruments. It's going to be heavy.
